Ghost Keeper is officially launching in Early Access on Steam on January 28, bringing a darker twist to strategy and puzzle gameplay. Following the release of its demo during Halloween 2025—which earned a generally positive 84% Steam review score—the developers are expanding the experience with a more polished and content-rich version of the game.

The Early Access release will include seven controllable characters, six distinct Victorian-era locations, and a fully unlocked sandbox mode. The game will be available at a launch price of $12.99 USD.

About Ghost Keeper
In Ghost Keeper, players command a roster of ghosts, demons, and other grotesque creatures with the goal of terrifying humans and driving them out of locations that “rightfully” belong to the supernatural. Each minion comes with unique abilities that must be deployed strategically, as success depends on smart positioning, timing, and synergy between creatures.

The game’s reverse light-horror approach mixes strategy and puzzle elements with dark humor and exaggerated horror themes. While many humans are easily frightened, others can call upon the Brotherhood of Light, a dangerous force determined to cleanse locations of supernatural threats, forcing players to adapt their tactics.
Victorian-inspired environments play a major role in gameplay, offering varied layouts, atmosphere, and interactive elements that influence how each level unfolds.

Early Access Content and Structure
Ghost Keeper is a story-driven single-player experience. During Early Access, players will progress through six large, mission-based locations, each featuring evolving objectives that gradually increase in complexity. A guided tutorial introduces core mechanics and teaches players how to effectively use monster abilities against both humans and the environment.

Completing the Early Access storyline unlocks sandbox mode, allowing players to revisit any previously cleared location with full freedom. This mode emphasizes experimentation, letting players test different strategies, creature combinations, and approaches without narrative constraints.
