Players can jump back into the undead-infested action today as Raptor Byte has officially launched the Codename CURE II demo on Steam, giving fans their first hands-on taste of the cooperative first-person shooter. Alongside the demo release, the studio also revealed a new publishing partnership with indie.io, who will be supporting the game through its road to full launch.
The free demo offers a solid snapshot of Codename CURE II’s core experience. Players can dive into a guided tutorial before tackling the game’s main gameplay loop, including online co-op multiplayer. Missions are procedurally generated using a single mission tileset, ensuring each run feels different and encouraging replayability even in this early slice of the game.

While certain elements—such as weapon unlocks and cosmetics—are locked off and clearly labeled as full-game content, the demo is designed to closely reflect how Codename CURE II plays moment to moment. It introduces players to the fundamentals of combat, class-based roles, mission flow, and progression systems, setting expectations for the full release.

Not everything is available just yet. Two enemy types planned for the complete game are absent from the demo, and progression is capped. However, any progress earned through scrap collection and ranking systems will carry over into the full version, giving players a head start once the game officially launches.

Codename CURE II builds on the foundation of the original Codename CURE, reimagining the experience with modern tools, expanded systems, and a renewed focus on cooperative gameplay, mission-driven action, and replayability.

In addition to the demo launch, Raptor Byte confirmed its partnership with indie.io, who will assist with publishing, operations, and launch support as development continues.
The Codename CURE II demo is available now on Steam, and co-op shooter fans curious about its evolution can jump in today and see how the infection spreads.
