Ghoul’s Saloon: Running a Ghoul Bar Was Never Meant to Be Easy

Half-Dead, But Still Open!

There’s managing a bar… and then there’s managing a bar for ghouls in the middle of the apocalypse. That’s the kind of weird energy Ghoul’s Saloon is bringing to the table—a grimy, tongue-in-cheek management sim where the undead are your most loyal (and hungriest) customers.

By day, you’re a surprisingly hands-on business owner. Your saloon-slash-scrap-shop serves up everything from pickled knuckles to glowing cocktails brewed from “acquired” remains. You’ll haggle with demanding ghouls, scrub up the mess from last night’s brawl, and try to keep your generator from blowing out mid-shift. It’s all about balancing profit, power, and hygiene—because apparently even ghouls don’t like eating in filth.

Then the sun sets, and everything changes. When the shutters close, the bar turns into a fortress. Rival factions come creeping out of the wasteland, and you’ll need to rely on your traps, turrets, and survival instincts to make it through the night. It’s part sim, part strategy, part sheer panic—and the more successful your business is, the more attention you attract from the wrong kinds of neighbors.

The game leans into its dark humor with messy “incidents” and plenty of slapstick mayhem. It’s hard not to laugh when you’re juggling a pile of corpses one minute and charming a ghoul into paying full price the next. The corpse supply chain is as gross as it sounds, but it fuels your operation—providing slime for power and parts for your next great drink recipe. Handle it well and your business thrives. Get sloppy and, well… don’t expect five-star reviews.

And if it all sounds a little too stressful, you don’t have to face the apocalypse alone. Half-Dead, But Still Open supports co-op play, so you and a friend can divvy up the chaos—one runs the bar, the other mans the defenses.

With its mix of strategy, gallows humor, and survival mechanics, this one’s shaping up to be something special. Whether you’re into management sims or just enjoy watching things fall apart in the funniest way possible, you’ll probably want to keep an eye on it.

Keep the lights on, the slime vats bubbling, and the ghouls happy—because in Ghoul’s Saloon customer service really is a matter of life and death.
