Wolcen Studio has officially lifted the veil on its next big project, Gods, Death & Reapers (GDR), revealed during the Future Games Show at gamescom 2025. Previously known only as Project Pantheon, this free-to-play “ExtrAction RPG” fuses high-stakes extraction gameplay with hack-and-slash ARPG combat — and it’s already playable in Closed Alpha on PC.
Death Welcomes All
Set in a brutal afterlife where mythology is real and the gods have vanished, Gods, Death & Reapers casts players as chosen warriors of Death himself. The first battleground is rooted in Norse mythology, with future realms planned to expand the mythological pantheon.
Players prepare for each mission from a sanctuary hub — gearing up before venturing into hostile lands filled with deadly enemies, PvPvE encounters, and treasure worth risking everything for. But every run comes at a price: fail, and you lose all your carried loot. Only a successful extraction ensures you bring rewards back to your sanctuary, where they can be stored, traded, or used to craft stronger builds.

Closed Alpha Now Live
The afterlife gates are already open: Gods, Death & Reapers Closed Alpha 3.1 is live until August 24 at 11 AM PDT / 8 PM CEST, available in North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, Korea, Taiwan, and China. Players can jump in now, share feedback via the official Discord, and wishlist the game on Steam.
