New Horrors Lurk in Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days Early Access Update #2

Shelter survival just got a whole lot grimmer.

Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days—PikPok’s atmospheric zombie survival sim set in a decaying Texas—has dropped its second major Early Access update on Steam, and it’s bringing more than just extra blood and guts.

If the streets of Walton, Texas weren’t already dangerous enough, Update #2 ramps things up with new infected threats, brutal infection mechanics, and customizable difficulty options that let you shape your nightmare however you see fit.

What’s New in Update #2:

  • Survivor Infection System
Your survivors now run the risk of becoming infected after zombie encounters. Leave those infections untreated, and you’ll be forced to make some truly gut-wrenching calls—do you quarantine the infected, exile them… or worse?
  • New Zombie Variants
More variety, more danger. These new types of undead don’t just look different—they act differently too. Expect new behaviors that force you to rethink your approach to every supply run.
  • New Recruitable Survivor: Vince
A rebellious teen with a privileged past, Vince brings a new personality (and problems) into your group dynamic. Will he be an asset—or a liability?
  • Difficulty Settings & Custom Modes
Pick your poison. Choose between Casual, Normal, or Hard, or fully customize the challenge by tweaking everything from zombie aggression to resource scarcity.
  • New Language Support
Thai localization is now live, broadening the game’s global reach.

Whether you’ve been running supply routes since Day One or you’re just joining the survivors in Walton, there’s never been a better (or bloodier) time to jump in.
