Turkish indie studio Elyzio has officially revealed Pera Coda, a narrative-driven isometric mystery adventure set in a dreamlike version of Istanbul’s historic Pera district. Drawing inspiration from games like Disco Elysium, Outer Wilds, and 12 Minutes, Pera Coda promises a mature and emotionally charged journey through guilt, memory, and self-reckoning. The game is headed to Steam, as confirmed in its atmospheric reveal trailer.

At its core, Pera Coda is less about solving a traditional mystery and more about surviving an existential trial. Players step into the role of Deniz, an attorney caught in a liminal space between life and death. Trapped in a looping purgatory of his own mind, Deniz must serve as both judge and defendant in the unraveling of his soul.

Through branching dialogue, layered environmental puzzles, and a shifting psychological narrative, players will uncover buried memories, confront past regrets, and make choices that reflect emotional breakthroughs. Every interaction shapes Deniz’s journey and determines whether peace—or despair—awaits him at the end.

    Key Features of Pera Coda:

    • A Man Caught Between Worlds
Deniz’s story is one of reflection and reckoning. Each loop represents a deeper dive into his fragmented psyche as he relives the moments, relationships, and decisions that defined his life.
    • Narrative Depth Meets Puzzle Design
Dialogue choices carry real emotional weight, while environmental puzzles are intricately woven into the story, encouraging exploration and introspection rather than traditional combat or grinding.\
    • A Surreal Istanbul
Istanbul is not just a setting—it’s a character. Real-world locations are reimagined through a neo-noir lens, turning the city into a surreal reflection of Deniz’s inner world. From shadowy alleyways to distorted landmarks, every district tells a story.
    • Striking Visuals with Symbolic Weight
Designed with an isometric perspective, the game emphasizes visual storytelling. Expect richly detailed environments, symbolic design elements, and a dreamlike aesthetic that reinforces the emotional core of the narrative.
    • Accessible Yet Deep
Point-and-click mechanics ensure the experience remains intuitive, allowing players to focus on storytelling, exploration, and decision-making. Pera Coda avoids combat entirely, embracing a gameplay loop built around emotional discovery and narrative progression.

Art Director Ahmet Kazanci described the game as “a love letter to our city and a universal human story about guilt, regret, and the search for peace.” He emphasized that Istanbul in Pera Coda is both a stage and a mirror—where East meets West, and each district reflects a piece of Deniz’s fractured identity.

If you’re drawn to slow-burn narratives, psychological depth, and games that challenge emotional perception, keep an eye on Pera Coda. It’s shaping up to be one of the most uniquely haunting narrative experiences on the horizon.
