Time to roll up your sleeves, grab a brush, and get ready for some seriously adorable VR therapy—Pets & Stuff, the cozy vet-and-grooming sim from HyperVR Games, is opening up shop on SteamVR this Friday, May 23.
Already a hit on Meta Quest and PSVR2, Pets & Stuff lets you step into the shoes of a warmhearted pet clinic owner, caring for everything from curious cats and loyal pups to mischievous raccoons, cuddly piglets, and even the occasional bear cub. Your mission? Win their trust with treats, clean their fur, fix what ails them, and send them home healthier and happier than ever.
But this isn’t just about medical care—it’s also about serious pet fashion. Once your animal patients are feeling better, you’ll style them up with a rainbow of safe dyes and dozens of accessories. Want to bling out a goat with a gold chain? Go for it. Adorn a fox with a floral collar? You bet. You can even give hamsters a full-on hipster makeover. Once your furry fashionistas are looking their best, snap Polaroid-style photos to capture their glow-up.
Alongside the SteamVR launch, HyperVR is dropping two new updates:
-
Angry Pets – Some critters aren’t so chill. These feisty animals will test your calm as they growl and squirm. Your job? Soothe and tame them before jumping into treatment.
-
Glove Shelf – A fun cosmetic update with new gloves that offer unique effects, like mid-air painting and other creative surprises to level up your VR interactions.
You’ll also travel to multiple environments—Clinic, Forest, Farm, even a whimsical Fantasy Land—each with their own charm and challenges. As you care for more animals, you can upgrade each space: fix up walls and furniture, renovate birdhouses, plant crops, and make each location feel like home sweet home.
“Pets & Stuff is a simple, yet engaging introduction to VR for animal lovers of all ages,” says Aivars Neihefers, Producer at HyperVR Games. “We’ve always wanted this to be the most accessible cozy sim out there, and bringing it to SteamVR helps us spread the furred!”
Pets & Stuff arrives on SteamVR May 23 for $14.99 and is already available on Meta Quest and PlayStation VR2, with full English language support.
