The cyberpunk action spectacle SPINE just dropped a stylish new gameplay trailer during the Twitch Galaxies Showcase, and it’s packed with bullet-time, acrobatics, and a fresh look at its slick “Freeflow Gun Fu” combat. Even better? Developer Nekki confirmed that SPINE is officially targeting Nintendo Switch 2, alongside PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Already sitting on over 400,000 wishlists, SPINE is shaping up to be a must-play for fans of cinematic action and fast-paced beat ‘em ups.

    What is Freeflow Gun Fu?
SPINE’s combat puts you in control of Redline, a rebellious street artist turned cyberpunk heroine, who flows between enemies with slick parries, disarms, and brutal counterattacks. In true action movie fashion, every punch, kick, and shot is woven into seamless, high-energy choreography.

Crush enemies against walls, chuck them off ledges, or improvise with the environment to turn the tide. It’s fast, stylish, and always evolving—like being the lead (and director) in your own explosive martial arts movie.

“We want players to feel like the star and the director of their own action movie,” says Game Director Dmitry Pimenov. “SPINE rewards creativity, awareness, and mastery with cinematic flair—and total control.”

    First Look at Hardcore Mode
The new trailer also teases Hardcore Mode, a no-hit challenge where Redline rocks a pair of sleek shades—but here’s the twist: take one hit, and they shatter. Stay flawless, stay cool.

    What is SPINE ?
Set in a dystopian, AI-ruled future, SPINE follows Redline and her sentient combat implant (yes, it’s actually named Spine) as they take on the oppressive Tensor Corporation. This story-rich, single-player title combines high-octane action with cinematic presentation and a gritty, emotional narrative.

SPINE is built in Unreal Engine 5 and powered by Nekki’s animation tech Cascadeur, bringing movie-level choreography and reactive environments to life in a way that makes every encounter feel unique.

    Key Features at a Glance:

    • Action-Movie Combat – A dynamic camera system highlights every takedown and lets you live out your Gun Fu fantasy without taking away player control.

    • Freeflow Gunplay – Seamlessly chain gunshots, melee attacks, and environmental interactions for fluid, creative combos.

    • Immersive Cyberpunk World – Explore a divided city where glossy utopian skylines hide gritty underworlds and brutal power struggles.

    • AI-Driven Story – Redline and Spine’s growing bond is central to the story as they rebel against a hyper-controlled society.

    • Hardcore Mode – Beat the game without a scratch and prove you’re a true action legend.

    Expand the Universe
Nekki is also expanding the SPINE universe through the official SPINE: Bullet Dancers webtoon, giving fans even more lore before the game’s full release.

SPINE is coming soon to Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. If you love high-energy action, stylish takedowns, and all things cyberpunk, this is one to keep on your radar.

Wishlist it now, and be ready to write your own bullet-drenched, slow-motion masterpiece.
