Japan-based developer INTENSE Co. Ltd is bringing the terror—and the laughs—to the West with UNDERWARD, a procedurally generated co-op horror survival game. Set to release on PC via Steam on February 5, 2025, this high-stakes horror experience will have players exploring a twisted underground hospital, fighting off monstrous threats, and working together (or abandoning each other) to survive.

Face the Unknown—Alone or With Friends
UNDERWARD is built for 1-4 players, letting you team up with friends or brave the horrors solo. As investigators for a secretive organization, your mission is clear: recover bio-capsules containing mysterious test subjects and transport them to collection points. Success allows you to delve deeper into the ever-changing labyrinth, but beware—permadeath is in play. Once you’re gone, you’re gone.

    The Horrors That Await
The abandoned underground hospital is full of unexpected dangers, but one nightmare stands above the rest—the Arachne Nurse, a grotesque, towering monstrosity that blocks entire hallways with its massive body. Its reinforced limbs make frontal attacks useless, forcing players to coordinate their strategies and strike from behind. With deadly traps and unpredictable threats lurking at every turn, survival is anything but guaranteed.
