BOKURA: Planet Set to Launch in Early 2025, Announced by Kodansha Game Creator’s Lab

Kodansha Game Creator’s Lab has officially announced the upcoming release of BOKURA: Planet, the highly anticipated sequel to the cooperative puzzle adventure game, BOKURA. Set to launch in early 2025, this new installment promises to expand on the unique, two-player gameplay that made its predecessor a hit.

What’s New in BOKURA: Planet?
BOKURA: Planet continues the tradition of requiring two players to work together on separate devices to solve intricate puzzles. However, this sequel introduces a brand-new setting and a host of new actions and puzzles to challenge players’ collaboration skills.

One of the standout new features is the addition of a “push” action, allowing players to interact with each other in unexpected ways—whether to help navigate obstacles or, perhaps, to mischievously push each other off a cliff! The game will test not only the players’ ability to cooperate but also how they handle potential confrontations.

A New Story Unfolds
In BOKURA: Planet, players are thrust into a post-apocalyptic scenario where Earth has been destroyed, and humanity has restarted civilization from scratch. After centuries of progress, humanity ventures into space to explore distant planets. However, the journey is perilous, and only those condemned to death row are sent on these dangerous missions.

During one such mission, the research ship breaks down, forcing two crew members to make an emergency landing on an unknown red planet. Both have personal reasons for needing to return to Earth—will they make it back safely, or will the planet’s mysteries consume them?

To mark the announcement of BOKURA: Planet, Kodansha Game Creator’s Lab is offering a 50% discount on the original BOKURA on Steam and Nintendo Switch. This discount runs from Tuesday, August 6 to Sunday, August 18, 2024, making it the perfect time to dive into the game that started it all.
