Get ready to embark on a gripping journey of survival in The Alters, a thrilling video game experience inspired by the acclaimed title This War of Mine. As protagonist Jan, players find themselves stranded on a hostile planet with blistering conditions and deadly threats lurking at every turn. Alone and facing insurmountable odds, Jan seeks refuge in a state-of-the-art mobile base, designed for operation by a skilled team—yet Jan is on his own.

But fate intervenes with the discovery of Rapidium, an enigmatic substance found only on this treacherous planet. Harnessing the power of the Quantum Computer aboard the base, Jan can manipulate key moments from his past, giving rise to alternate versions of himself known as Alters.

These Alters are more than mere duplicates—they each possess unique skills vital for survival, from base repair and resource gathering to crafting and sustaining life. However, they’re not just task-oriented automatons; they’re sentient beings, each with their own emotions, aspirations, and even existential ponderings.

While the presence of Alters introduces a layer of complexity and potential chaos, their shared objective remains clear: survive, escape, and do it all independently. The Alters is set to launch later this year for Windows 11 PC and consoles, with availability on PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass for console upon release. Get ready to forge your path to survival amidst the dangers of an alien world in The Alters.
