MINTROCKET is thrilled to share the demo of their upcoming top-down team battle game, Wakerunners, in celebration of their participation in this month’s Steam Next Fest. The demo is available until February 12th, featuring 4v4 and 5v5 action in a dystopian sci-fi future where surviving factions clash on a ravaged Earth. The game emphasizes close-quarters combat, prioritizing player reflexes and control of acceleration and deceleration mechanics.
The demo includes five game modes (Team Deathmatch, Raider, Control Conquest, Command Siege, and Escort) and seven unique playable characters, each with distinct abilities and styles. Players can strategically swap characters mid-battle to use a variety of skills. ChaeHyun Lim, Game Director of Wakerunners, highlighted the game’s focus on intense battles in sci-fi arenas.
The MINTROCKET development team, responsible for games like Dave the Diver and NAKWON: LAST PARADISE, operates with creative freedom. Lim emphasized their commitment to creating immersive experiences that bring joy to players worldwide.
