Developing Mysterio's Look in 'Spider-Man: Far From Home'

Spider-Man: Far From Home is currently swinging in theaters worldwide, and Spidey‘s new suit wasn’t the only eye-catching costume in the film.

Earth’s Mightiest Show had the opportunity to sit down with Ryan Meinerding, Marvel Studios’ Head of Visual Development, to learn about the process of developing the final look of Mysterio in the film, as played by Jake Gyllenhaal.

Meinerding acknowledged that leaned into Mysterio’s comics origins, which embodies a classic superhero suit, and then translating it for the Marvel Cinematic Universe the way they did for Vision.
