For the physical release, Meridiem is handling both design and manufacturing duties, packaging the game with a special sleeve, character art cards, and a “Lore of Guernian” document.

Death Is Only the Beginning

Set in a corrupted dark fantasy world, players step into the role of an immortal Successor—warriors empowered by the gods Lu, Ashuran, and Harnia. Every time you fall in battle, you return stronger. Gear, runes, and permanent unlocks stay with you, allowing each run to build on the last as you push deeper from Cliffshire into increasingly dangerous territory.

Choose Your Successor

You begin your journey as the Spellblade, but additional Successors unlock as you progress. Each class brings its own skill tree, weapon sets, and combat identity:

Spellblade – A hybrid fighter wielding fire, frost, and lightning for close- and mid-range elemental combos.

Berserker – A brutal melee powerhouse who sacrifices health and positioning for devastating damage and armor.

Hunter – A nimble ranged specialist using thrown weapons, poison, and beast abilities to control the battlefield and stack damage over time.

Precision-Focused Roguelite Combat

Combat emphasizes tight dodges, reading enemy telegraphs, and committing to aggressive chains of attacks. Multi-layered 2D stages remix enemy placements, hazards, and loot with each run. While gold and temporary bonuses are lost upon death, your core equipment and rune builds remain intact, encouraging experimentation and long-term progression.

Runes, Artefacts, and Legendary Builds

Elites and bosses drop Rune Stones that can be forged into Legendary and Mythic gear. These runes intertwine with class skill trees, allowing for powerful build customization. Mid-run artefacts further enhance your setup, stacking synergies that can turn a struggling attempt into a god-slaying rampage.

With the dragon Guernian fallen and his Corruption spreading across the land, players must carve a path toward the Citadel at the heart of the rift. Along the way, fragments of a hidden history reveal that the story of this world—and the Black Dawn itself—may not be what it seems.
