Inspired by classic game show madness—particularly the over-the-top obstacle chaos of Takeshi’s Castle—Task Time throws players into a fast-paced party experience where friendships are optional and sabotage is practically required.

Each match drops up to eight contestants, known as Tasklings, into a sequence of six rounds filled with unpredictable challenges. Alliances may form briefly, but survival usually means outplaying, outmaneuvering, or outright sabotaging the competition. By the end of the gauntlet, only one contestant can emerge victorious.

Task Time fully embraces chaotic competition. Players can drag rivals off platforms, disrupt their progress, and turn even the simplest objectives into complete disasters. The game’s physics-driven design ensures that every round feels messy, unpredictable, and often hilarious.

The project also carries notable pedigree. Some of the developers behind popular multiplayer hits like Fall Guys and Gang Beasts contributed to Task Time’s development, bringing experience from some of the most recognizable party games in recent years.

To celebrate the shadow drop, the game is currently free for its first 48 hours on Steam. After that promotional period ends, Task Time will be available at a discounted launch price of $4.95 / £3.96, reflecting a temporary 38% release discount.

The Early Access version also includes a crossover with PEAK, allowing players to unlock the recognizable “Bing Bong” character as cosmetic items within the game.

Beyond its chaotic matches, Task Time introduces a few additional twists. The game features hundreds of thousands of potential task combinations, ensuring matches rarely unfold the same way twice.
