From the mind of Michael Mendheim, creator of the original Mutant League Football and Mutant League Hockey for Sega Genesis, this sequel cranks the chaos up to 11. Forget simulations and stat sheets — this is 8-on-8, arcade-style carnage where every down could be your last. Teams of mutant super-humans, orcs, skeletons, and robots square off in arenas littered with buzzsaws, giant worms, and explosive traps.

What to Expect in MFL2

• Blood on the Turf – Exploding limbs, Dirty Trick plays, and referees who might not survive the match.

• Monster Rosters – Over 36 parody teams with mutant versions of pro football stars, plus free agency and custom team creation.

• Mutantmaxxing – Level up your players with new armor, weapons, mutations, and not-so-legal SkillRoid boosts.

• Dynasty Supreme Mode – Guide your freakish franchise from the bottom to Mayhem Bowl glory across multiple seasons.

• Doom Field Designer – Build and customize deadly stadiums with fire geysers, blizzards, and more.

• Legendary Commentary – Tim Kitzrow (NBA Jam, NFL Blitz) returns to deliver hard-hitting one-liners.

Players eager to join the carnage can grab the pre-launch edition now via Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview for $24.99. The full release will retail at $29.99 when it lands this December.

As Mendheim puts it: “At its core, it’s fun, hard-hitting, and unpredictable — easy to pick up and play, yet layered with depth and strategy.” In other words, the anti-Madden is back — and bloodier than ever.
