The digital showcase coincides with Pixel Expo’s in-person event in Perth (September 13–14), which already draws more than 7,000 attendees each year. Now, players worldwide can join the celebration, discovering and wishlisting 32 homegrown titles from WA creators and indie studios across Australia.

From cozy slice-of-life adventures to over-the-top couch co-ops, Chuck Another Game On The Barbie serves up a diverse buffet of Australian indie talent. Each featured game will be highlighted on Steam, giving developers a chance to reach far beyond Perth while letting fans everywhere get a taste of the country’s thriving games scene.

“I’m thrilled to launch this digital showcase alongside Pixel Expo,” said Rin McBeath, organizer of the Steam event and curator of West Aussie Games. “It’s an exciting chance to put local talent on the global stage and show the world just how much creativity is bubbling up in Australia’s games industry.”

Pixel Expo itself is a non-profit event dedicated to supporting and growing Western Australia’s creative industries. With the addition of the Steam showcase, the convention is making its boldest move yet toward international visibility—spotlighting the passion, originality, and variety of Australia’s indie developers.

This year’s showcase promises a packed lineup of announcements and first looks, including brand-new trailers, playable demo reveals, and the early access launch date for the highly anticipated medieval shooter Kingmakers. Viewers can also expect major updates on a wide range of upcoming titles.

Highlights from the show will include:

• Hello Neighbor 3, the latest entry in the suspenseful sandbox franchise

• FEROCIOUS, a prehistoric survival FPS with some serious bite

• SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed, bringing back the chaotic platformer action
