Inspired by the hit television series Creepshow and executive produced by Greg Nicotero, the game aims to capture the show’s signature mix of horror, dark comedy, and comic book-inspired storytelling. Development is being led by PHL Games with creative direction from Brian Clarke, bringing together talent with strong roots in the horror genre.

Players will experience a collection of standalone horror stories that span psychological terror, supernatural mysteries, and darkly humorous situations. One storyline follows Danny and his friends as they investigate the mysterious disappearance of Danny’s father. Their search eventually leads them to The Reader, a cryptic fortune teller whose stories reveal disturbing truths and terrifying secrets.

According to DreadXP founder and CEO Patrick Ewald, the goal has been to create an experience that feels like stepping directly into an episode of Creepshow, complete with the franchise’s trademark scares, twisted humor, and unexpected twists.

The game will feature multiple playable stories, each offering its own unique nightmare. Fans can also expect a faithful recreation of the series’ tone, balancing frightening moments with the dark humor that has helped define the franchise. The visual presentation draws heavily from the pulp horror and comic book aesthetics that have become synonymous with Creepshow over the years.

With a variety of gameplay experiences and a strong focus on recreating the spirit of the source material, Creepshowlooks poised to offer both longtime fans and newcomers a fresh way to experience one of horror’s most recognizable anthology franchises when it arrives on PC this August.
