BrokenLore: DON’T LIE is a first-person psychological horror game that places players in the role of Junko, a young woman struggling with trauma, isolation, and a reality that is beginning to fracture around her. The story explores themes of fragile relationships, suppressed memories, and the consequences of living behind emotional walls.

Junko’s life has been shaped by abandonment and emotional distance. Left by her mother and raised by a father who was physically present but emotionally absent, she learned early on to withdraw rather than connect with others. When rare attempts at forming relationships ended in rejection and humiliation, that isolation only deepened.

As Junko’s mental state begins to deteriorate, the world around her becomes increasingly unstable. Familiar spaces twist and transform into environments shaped by memory and emotion, blurring the line between what is real and what exists only within her fractured mind. Past experiences begin to surface in disturbing ways, refusing to remain buried.

The newly released demo offers players a first glimpse at the game’s unsettling atmosphere and narrative-driven horror as part of the lead-up to Steam Next Fest.

BrokenLore: DON’T LIE is currently in development for PC via Steam, as well as Xbox Series X and Series S and PlayStation 5.
