Strategic autobattler Turnbound is heading into Early Access with a familiar surprise in tow.

Starting January 22, 2026, alongside Turnbound’s Early Access launch, the Snecko Eye will become a permanent, fully playable item in the game. This isn’t a cosmetic crossover or a background Easter egg — the relic has been reimagined to function naturally within Turnbound’s systems, encouraging high-risk decision-making, experimental builds, and creative strategies that will feel instantly familiar to Spire veterans.

To sweeten the deal, Slay the Spire owners can earn an exclusive in-game achievement and cosmetic reward during the collaboration window. By completing a battle with the Snecko Eye tile placed on the board, players unlock a special achievement that grants a unique profile frame cosmetic. The reward is purely visual, offers no gameplay advantage, and remains permanently unlocked once earned — but the opportunity to claim it is limited. The achievement will only be available from Early Access launch on January 22 until Turnbound reaches version 1.0.

While the Snecko Eye itself is sticking around for good, the achievement and cosmetic are strictly tied to this collaboration period.

The crossover also comes with a special Steam launch bundle, giving players the chance to pick up Turnbound and Slay the Spire together at a 10% discount when Early Access goes live. It’s a fitting pairing, combining two strategy-heavy experiences built around experimentation, mastery, and emergent gameplay.

According to 1TK Games, the collaboration is a celebration of shared design philosophies. Turnbound draws inspiration from games that reward curiosity and adaptation, and the Snecko Eye serves as a nod to one of the most influential strategy roguelikes ever made — while giving players a new way to explore those ideas in a different system.

For those unfamiliar, Turnbound is a strategic autobattler centered on theorycrafting and synergy-building through tiles, heroes, and items, with increasingly challenging encounters pushing players to refine their approach. The game is currently available as a demo on Steam and officially enters Early Access on January 22, 2026.

If you’re a fan of Slay the Spire’s chaos-driven relics or just love seeing smart crossovers done right, this is one collaboration worth checking out.
