The game follows Luna, a young engineer tasked with maintaining internet connectivity for the isolated communities that call the Belt home. As a mysterious force known as the Drift continues to pull the region apart, Luna must travel between drifting asteroids in her truck, repairing aging radio towers and other deteriorating infrastructure in an effort to keep people connected.

The journey combines exploration, light puzzle-platforming, and storytelling as players venture across strange and often lonely landscapes. Between assignments, Luna returns to her ship, where she can spend time with her crew, learn more about their lives, and strengthen relationships. Through these interactions, players will uncover a heartfelt narrative centered on friendship, belonging, and the importance of human connection in a world that is slowly coming apart.

Designed as a concise and focused experience, In the Drift is expected to offer around five hours of gameplay. Developed by Free Lives under its Cozy Lives label, Dressmaker offers a hands-on approach to garment creation. Players begin by selecting fabrics, arranging and cutting patterns, and carefully sewing pieces together using a functioning sewing machine system. Every step of the dressmaking process is interactive, creating a detailed simulation that celebrates craftsmanship and creativity.

The game features a wide variety of materials, including cotton, linen, wool, silk, and velvet, allowing players to experiment with different styles and designs. A sketchbook system lets aspiring fashion designers create concepts, add color, and incorporate fabric samples before bringing their ideas to life.

Becker had originally hoped to pursue costume design professionally, but Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a connective tissue disorder, forced her to reconsider that path. Wanting to help Sabrina continue expressing her creativity through fashion, Jonathan helped bring the idea to life through game development, combining their shared interests into an interactive experience.

What started as a side project quickly exceeded expectations. After early concepts generated significant online interest, Hau-Yoon pitched the idea to Free Lives, the South African studio known for action-heavy titles such as Broforce, GORN, and Anger Foot. Despite the studio’s history of creating more chaotic experiences, the overwhelming response to Dressmaker convinced the team to move forward.

A small development group, including Ruan Rothmann, Sara Laubscher, and composer Meydän, produced a prototype in just three weeks. The demo rapidly gained traction, surpassing 100,000 downloads and inspiring players worldwide to share their handmade designs.

Today, Dressmaker is being developed by a dedicated team at Free Lives, with music by Meydän and writing from Kerstin Hall. As development continues, the game is shaping up to be a standout entry in the growing cozy gaming genre, offering a relaxing and creative experience centered around fashion, craftsmanship, and self-expression.

Announced during the Day of the Devs showcase, MR. RECORDS introduces players to George, an aging dreamer who finally decides to pursue the passion he has carried with him for decades. Accompanied by his loyal dog Buzz, George opens the record store he always imagined owning, helping customers find the perfect albums while uncovering the memories and emotions hidden within each record.

The game blends life simulation elements with rhythm-based gameplay. During the day, players manage George’s growing vinyl shop, meeting colorful customers, learning their musical tastes, and recommending records that resonate with their lives. Every interaction reveals new stories and helps expand the store’s inventory.

When the shop closes for the evening, the records themselves become the focus. Each vinyl transports George into imaginative musical worlds inspired by memories, emotions, and pivotal moments from his past. Players will run, jump, slide, dodge obstacles, and chain actions together in sync with the music across more than 40 handcrafted rhythm levels.

MR. RECORDS features a wide variety of original music styles, including funk, progressive rock, hip-hop, electronic music, world music, and 1980s-inspired pop tracks. The soundtrack consists of dozens of original records created by the development team, with each one tied directly to the game’s narrative and gameplay experiences.

Beyond the rhythm challenges, players will spend time in George’s bedroom above the store, a personal hub where they can review memories, track story progress, answer phone calls, and reflect on the emotional journey unfolding around them.

The adventure also promises a steady stream of gameplay variety, including rhythm battles, mini-games, chase sequences, environmental twists, visual effects, and activities involving George’s faithful companion, Buzz.

According to Glee-Cheese Co-Founder and Creative Director Charles Bardin, the project was inspired by music’s ability to instantly reconnect people with powerful memories and emotions. Held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas, Comicpalooza once again proved why it remains one of the largest and most anticipated fan conventions in the state. From the moment attendees entered the convention center, there was a sense of excitement that carried throughout the entire weekend.

One of the most impressive aspects of the event was the size of the main exhibit hall. The massive floor was packed with vendors, artists, celebrity autograph areas, vehicle displays, and fan attractions. Even after spending several hours exploring, it felt impossible to see everything in a single day. The sheer scale of the convention offered something for every type of fan.

The celebrity guest lineup was easily one of the biggest draws of the weekend. Fans had the opportunity to meet stars from some of the most beloved franchises in entertainment. Guests included Laurence Fishburne from The Matrix and John Wick, Vincent D’Onofrio and Krysten Ritter from Marvel’s Daredevil universe, Wilson Bethel from Daredevil: Born Again, Joe Pantoliano from The Sopranos and The Matrix, Edward James Olmos from Battlestar Galactica and Blade Runner, Esai Morales from Mission: Impossible, Lou Ferrigno from The Incredible Hulk, Pam Grier, Mark Dacascos, and even Steve Burns from Blue’s Clues.

Gaming fans were also treated to appearances by several iconic voices from the Halo franchise, including Steve Downes, the voice of Master Chief, Jen Taylor, the voice of Cortana, announcer Jeff Steitzer, and composer Marty O’Donnell. It was exciting to see such a diverse group of guests representing film, television, and video games all under one roof.

Another highlight was the collection of vehicles on display throughout the convention. Fans gathered around detailed replicas and custom-built cars inspired by popular movies, television series, and comics. These displays quickly became some of the most photographed attractions at the event.

The vendor hall was equally impressive. Hundreds of vendors offered everything from comics and collectibles to artwork, apparel, toys, games, and handmade merchandise. Independent artists showcased incredible talent, while collectors had plenty of opportunities to find unique and hard-to-find items.

Of course, Comicpalooza would not be complete without its incredible cosplay community. Everywhere you looked, fans were dressed as characters from movies, television shows, anime, comics, and video games. The creativity and craftsmanship on display were remarkable, helping bring the convention floor to life and creating a welcoming atmosphere for attendees of all ages.

The only thing that tried to slow the weekend down was the weather. Heavy rain moved through Houston during the convention, making travel a little more challenging for attendees. Fortunately, once inside the convention center, the fun continued uninterrupted as fans enjoyed everything Comicpalooza had to offer.

Despite the rainy conditions, Comicpalooza 2026 delivered an outstanding experience. The combination of celebrity guests, vendors, cosplay, vehicle displays, and a passionate fan community made for a memorable weekend from start to finish.

Every expedition presents new opportunities for both success and spectacular disaster.

A major feature of Goblin Company is its extensive mining and rail-building system. Players can dig wherever they choose, creating custom routes through the game’s underground biomes. Mining carts serve as the primary transportation method, allowing teams to move resources efficiently—assuming the tracks stay intact and the carts remain on the rails.
