NACON and developer Artefacts Studio have unveiled the first gameplay trailer for MXGP 26, offering an early look at the next installment in the official FIM Motocross World Championship series. Scheduled to launch in October 2026for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, the latest entry promises significant improvements in both realism and gameplay.
Powered by Unreal Engine 5, MXGP 26 delivers a major visual upgrade with highly detailed environments, realistic lighting, and impressive weather effects. The new trailer highlights muddy race conditions, detailed bike components, and photorealistic tracks that aim to recreate the intensity of professional motocross racing.
Gameplay has also received a substantial overhaul. A redesigned physics system gives motorcycles more authentic handling, while new rider animations allow racers to naturally react to jumps, corners, ruts, and changing terrain. Players looking for maximum immersion can race from an all-new first-person helmet camera, while bikes and rider gear gradually accumulate dirt, sand, and mud throughout each event depending on weather and track conditions.
One of the game’s standout additions is its Dynamic Deformation system, which allows tracks to evolve in real time as races unfold. Every passing rider carves deeper ruts into the terrain, forcing players to continually adjust their racing lines as circuits transform lap after lap.
MXGP 26 also includes the official content from the 2026 championship season, featuring renowned motocross venues such as Bariloche in Argentina, Riola Sardo in Sardinia, Pietramurata in Italy, and Loket in the Czech Republic. The rider roster spans both the MXGP and MX2 championships, including stars like Romain Febvre, Maxime Renaux, Kay de Wolf, and Calvin Vlaanderen. Extensive customization options allow players to personalize their riders and official motorcycles from manufacturers including Kawasaki, Husqvarna, Yamaha, KTM, and Honda, alongside licensed riding gear from brands such as Fox Racing, Alpinestars, Scott, and Airoh.
Players can compete in online multiplayer races with up to 10 riders, take on Grand Prix, Championship, and Time Attack modes, or sharpen their skills by exploring the expansive training area known as The Compound.
MXGP 26 is scheduled to launch in October 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
