Saber Interactive, in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences, has released a brand-new gameplay trailer for Turok: Origins, offering another look at the upcoming revival of the iconic dinosaur-hunting franchise. Scheduled to launch this fall for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, the game reimagines the classic series with a fresh story, updated gameplay, and both first-person and third-person combat.
Originally debuting in 1997 with Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, the franchise became a fan favorite thanks to its blend of fast-paced action, massive prehistoric creatures, and sci-fi weaponry. Turok: Origins builds on that legacy while introducing an entirely new adventure designed for modern audiences.
Players assume the role of members of the mystical Order of the Turok, powerful warriors tasked with protecting humanity from extinction. Their mission will take them across the mysterious Lost Lands, where ferocious dinosaurs, deadly alien invaders, and towering boss creatures stand between humanity and survival.
Combat centers on an expansive arsenal of futuristic weaponry, including plasma rifles, sniper weapons, shotguns, bows, and experimental alien technology. As players progress, they will collect Echoes that unlock powerful Turok abilities, allowing them to customize their combat style and strengthen their character for increasingly dangerous encounters.
Whether playing alone or with friends in online co-op, players will explore a variety of visually diverse environments, from dense prehistoric jungles and ancient ruins to otherworldly alien landscapes filled with hidden secrets and powerful enemies.
With its blend of classic dinosaur-hunting action, cooperative gameplay, RPG-style progression, and modern visuals, Turok: Origins aims to introduce a new generation of players to one of gaming’s most recognizable action franchises while honoring the spirit of the originals.
