Arc Games and Snapshot Games have announced that FROSTHAVEN will officially leave early access and launch its full 1.0 release on October 15, 2026, for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer highlighting the game’s evolution throughout early access and showcasing the many improvements shaped by community feedback.
Based on the critically acclaimed board game created by Isaac Childres and published by Cephalofair Games, FROSTHAVEN brings the deep tactical gameplay of its tabletop counterpart into the digital space. Developed by Snapshot Games, the title expands on the legacy of Gloomhaven with new characters, strategic combat, and a massive story-driven campaign set in the frozen northern frontier.
Since entering early access, the development team has steadily expanded the game with new content, improved systems, and quality-of-life enhancements. The full release represents the most complete version yet, introducing the entire campaign from the original board game, including its climactic finale.
Players can also expect all 17 playable hero classes at launch, with the final character joining the roster in version 1.0. Each class offers its own unique abilities and tactical playstyle, encouraging players to experiment with different party combinations and strategies throughout the adventure.
For newcomers, Snapshot Games has introduced the digital-exclusive Road to Frosthaven, an onboarding experience designed to teach the game’s complex mechanics through tutorials, improved interface elements, and an introductory campaign. A standalone demo based on this content will also allow new players to experience the game before purchasing.
The 1.0 release also enhances cooperative play with improved multiplayer networking, while customizable House Rules let players tailor the experience to their preferred level of challenge and gameplay style. Additional launch content includes a brand-new opening cinematic, unlockable hero introduction videos, and a fully implemented in-game Codex featuring lore, creatures, characters, and world information.
