KOEI TECMO America and developer Omega Force have officially announced that DYNASTY WARRIORS 3 Complete Edition Remastered will launch worldwide on October 1, 2026. The beloved action classic is set to arrive on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, bringing one of the most celebrated entries in the long-running franchise back for a new generation of players.
To accompany the announcement, KOEI TECMO released a brand-new trailer showcasing the remaster’s upgraded features, expanded story content, and the return of the fan-favorite two-player cooperative mode.
While preserving the large-scale battlefield action that made the original game a standout, the remastered edition introduces several new combat mechanics designed to give players greater control during battle. The new Evasion system allows warriors to dodge incoming attacks or briefly retreat from danger, while Just Evasion rewards precise timing with a powerful counterattack. Players can also utilize Perfect Power Guard to deflect enemy strikes, creating opportunities to stun opponents and launch devastating follow-up attacks.
Customization has also been expanded through a new Weapon Fusion system. Players can sacrifice unwanted weapons to transfer elemental effects and special abilities, allowing them to create personalized weapons tailored to their preferred playstyle.
In addition to the classic campaign, DYNASTY WARRIORS 3 Complete Edition Remastered includes new story scenarios and a large roster of unlockable officers. The additional content is designed to blend seamlessly with the original experience while offering new challenges for returning veterans.
One of the most requested features is also making a comeback. The game’s offline two-player mode returns with support for split-screen cooperative and competitive play. Friends can battle side-by-side or face off against one another across Musou, Free, and VS Modes.
Pre-orders for the game are available now. Alongside the standard edition, players can purchase a Digital Deluxe Edition that includes the base game, 42 bonus weapons, six Secret Teachings, the Wind Scroll and Tiger Amulet, an Officer Concept Art Collection, and a set of 42 retro costumes inspired by the original release.
Fans who pre-order before September 30, 2026, will also receive the exclusive “Retro-Style Red Hare Saddle” bonus item.
