Indie developer Buzzin’ Games has revealed its debut title, Rock, Paper, Severed, a horror-themed twist on the classic hand game that raises the stakes in a gruesome way. The game is currently in development and is scheduled to launch on PC via Steam in 2026.
At first glance, the concept feels familiar. Two players sit across from each other and play Rock, Paper,Scissors. But in Rock, Paper, Severed, losing a round carries far more severe consequences. Each loss costs a finger, turning what was once a simple childhood pastime into a tense fight for survival where every decision matters.
Overseeing the game is a mysterious figure known only as the Entity. This shadowy host offers players a chance at redemption, luring them to the table with the promise of absolution. But once the game begins, escape isn’t so easy. As rounds progress, fragments of each character’s past begin to surface, revealing unsettling truths and the horrifying cost of participating in the game.
A dark teaser trailer has already been released, offering the first glimpse of the Entity, the ominous game table, and the brutal stakes players will face.
A Deadly Game of Strategy
While the core gameplay is built around the familiar mechanics of Rock, Paper, Scissors, Rock, Paper, Severedintroduces new layers of strategy and psychological tension.

In single-player mode, players will confront the Entity in a tense one-on-one experience where the story slowly unfolds with each match. Multiplayer mode supports two to four players, allowing friends to compete in brutal rounds where only one participant leaves with all their fingers intact.
