Developer Absam Studios has officially launched MAZEBOUND: Hunt, Gather, Run!, a brutal survival horror experience that sends players into a procedurally generated labyrinth packed with monsters, scarce resources, and constant danger. The game is available now on PC via Steam for $9.99, with a 20% launch week discount bringing the price down for early players.

A massive wall blocks the horizon, while the sounds of monsters echo from deep within the maze ahead. With only cryptic notes left behind on a chalkboard, the only clear instruction is simple: enter the maze, survive, and find a way to escape.

Each run sends players into a procedurally generated maze where exploration and survival go hand-in-hand. Venturing deeper into the labyrinth means gathering valuable materials, scavenging resources, and carefully deciding what to bring back. Inventory space is limited, forcing players to think strategically about what they carry and what they leave behind.

Combat plays a major role in surviving the maze’s dangers. Players can equip up to three weapons at once, including melee and ranged options such as axes, spears, firearms, and the oddly named “boinker.” Along the way, they must also manage hunger, willpower, and other survival mechanics while facing increasingly dangerous threats.

One of the game’s unique mechanics centers around a physics-based cart system used to haul resources out of the maze. Players must carefully stack items, balance weight, and keep their cart moving efficiently while monsters close in. Crafting upgrades can improve the cart over time, even allowing players to mount weapons like a ballista for added defense during dangerous extraction runs.

The maze grows more challenging the deeper players travel, encouraging a careful balance between risk and reward. Those willing to push further may uncover more resources and clues that help unravel the mystery behind the island and the character’s missing memory.

MAZEBOUND: Hunt, Gather, Run! can be played solo or cooperatively with friends, with difficulty balancing designed to keep both approaches intense but approachable.

To celebrate the launch, Absam Studios is also hosting a limited-time leaderboard competition running until May 30. The ten fastest runs recorded in the game will earn players Steam gift cards, giving skilled survivors an extra incentive to master the maze.

MAZEBOUND: Hunt, Gather, Run! is available now on Steam for $9.99, with a 20% launch week discount currently active.
