Crown of Greed is officially heading to Steam on March 31, bringing its unique spin and indirect-control strategy to PC players.
Set in the mystical land of Rodovia, the game places you on the throne as ruler of a fragile kingdom. Prosperity depends not only on your leadership, but on the unpredictable Heroes who defend your realm. These larger-than-life figures may be powerful, but they’re also driven by gold, ambition, and personal quirks that can either secure your future — or complicate it.

A Story-Driven Campaign at Launch
The full release includes 12 narrative-focused campaign missions, each roughly the length of the demo scenario, with several stretching significantly longer.
Side objectives play a major role throughout the campaign. Many can be resolved in multiple ways, influencing how each scenario unfolds. Rather than a linear experience, the structure encourages experimentation and replayability, rewarding players who revisit missions to explore alternate outcomes.
Deep Meta Progression and Kingdom Growth
Beyond individual missions, Crown of Greed features an expansive kingdom progression panel that persists across playthroughs.
By completing scenarios across three difficulty levels, players earn progression points used to expand and enhance their kingdom. Permanent unlocks include:
-
New hero abilities
-
Additional units and buildings
-
Major upgrades that strengthen selected or favorite units
The system incentivizes mastering higher difficulties and replaying missions to fully develop your realm over time.

Indirect Control, Dynamic Heroes
One of the game’s defining features is its indirect control system. Rather than micromanaging every unit, players influence NPCs and Heroes through contracts, incentives, and even bribes. Each character operates with advanced AI and free will, forcing you to guide rather than command.
Randomized hero traits further shake up strategy. You may recruit a devastating undead slayer who also happens to be lazy, unreliable, or overly greedy. Adapting to these strengths and weaknesses becomes essential as your kingdom expands.
As progress continues, new hero headquarters unlock, granting access to fresh spells and abilities that broaden your tactical options.

Editions and Pricing
The base game launches at $19.99 USD, with regional pricing adjustments in select territories.
A Supporter Pack edition will also be available, featuring:
-
A digital artbook packed with artwork, behind-the-scenes materials, lore, and curiosities
-
The official soundtrack composed by award-winning Polish composer Ignacy Zalewski

The game’s narration is provided by veteran voice actor George Ledoux, adding an extra layer of character and gravitas to the unfolding tale.
With its blend of strategic planning, emergent AI behavior, and kingdom-wide progression, Crown of Greed aims to deliver a management RTS where every decision — and every hero — can tip the balance of power.
