Blink Industries, the studio behind the cult hit Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared, has teamed up with art director Frederikke Frydenlund and developer Uwu Biz (Gang Beasts, PVKK) to release the first Steam demo for Nippets, a charming hidden-object game all about curiosity, observation, and small, delightful moments.

If the name sounds familiar, that’s because Nippets already made waves on Itch, where it racked up over 100,000 downloads. Now, with its Steam debut underway, players can get hands-on with a demo that showcases exactly why the game has been quietly stealing hearts.

A Living World Built for Curious Players
At its core, Nippets is a handcrafted hidden-object experience set across beautifully illustrated 2D maps. Instead of rigid checklists or time pressure, the game encourages players to simply explore. Shake trees, startle birds off lamp posts, honk the horn on a garbage truck, peek through windows, and yes—pet the cats.

Every environment feels alive and reactive, inviting you to poke and prod just to see what happens. Lost items are hidden throughout the world, often tied to tiny puzzles that unlock new areas and reveal small, interconnected stories.
Each map contains 3–5 explorable spaces, with secrets that unfold gradually. Some stories even carry across seasons, rewarding players who take the time to return and keep exploring.

What to Expect From Nippets
The Steam demo offers a taste of what’s coming later this year, including:
-
Around 2–3 hours of cozy gameplay
-
A charming, hand-drawn art style
-
Classic hidden-object puzzles with a modern, playful twist
-
Multiple maps with secret areas to unlock
-
No timers, no scores, and zero pressure
-
A world packed with personality, secrets, and pettable cats

If you’re into relaxed puzzle games, environmental storytelling, or just enjoy the simple joy of people watching brought to life in interactive form, Nippets is one to keep on your radar.
The demo is available now via the game’s Steam page, with the full release planned for later this year.
