HumanitZ, the isometric open-world zombie survival sandbox from developer Yodubzz Studios and publisher indie.io, has officially exited Steam Early Access and is now available in its full 1.0 release on PC via Steam.

Set in a world devastated by a zombie outbreak, players must navigate a hostile environment where resources are scarce and danger is constant. Survivors face threats ranging from hunger and exposure to infection and increasingly aggressive undead known as “zeeks.”

The game supports both solo play and online co-op, alongside PvE and PvP experiences hosted on dedicated or player-run servers. Players can scavenge abandoned towns or head into the wilderness to farm, hunt, and fish while crafting weapons, consumables, and fortified shelters to improve their chances of survival.

For the 1.0 release, the development team has redesigned and remastered the open world, creating a denser and more hazardous landscape. Features such as dynamic weather, drivable vehicles, and environmental threats aim to ensure varied survival scenarios.

Community feedback played a significant role in shaping the full release. Updated skill trees and professions allow for deeper character customization, including multiclass options. A new real-time infection system introduces additional urgency, requiring players to act quickly before succumbing to the virus.

Zombie variants have also been enhanced to behave more unpredictably, particularly in the optional Permadeath Mode. Extensive world settings further allow players to tailor the difficulty and overall survival experience.

The 1.0 launch also introduces The Island, a newly accessible region separated from the mainland that offers additional challenges and narrative elements for players ready to explore beyond familiar territory.

“Reaching 1.0 marks a major milestone for HumanitZ,” said lead game designer Yozza. “We’re looking forward to seeing players experience the redesigned world, deeper systems, and expanded content that are the result of years of collaboration with our community.”

HumanitZ is available now on PC via Steam for $19.99, with a 40% launch discount currently offered. The game includes language support for English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Italian.
