Whistle is an upcoming supernatural horror film directed by Corin Hardy (The Nun, The Hallow) and written by *Owen Egerton. The movie is scheduled to release in theaters on February 6, 2026, and carries an R rating.

The film follows a group of high school students who come into possession of an ancient Aztec death whistle, a real-world artifact historically designed to emit an unsettling, high-pitched sound. In the film, blowing the whistle triggers disturbing visions tied to the characters’ future deaths, setting off a chain of increasingly dangerous consequences as they attempt to understand the object’s origins and effects.

The cast includes Dafne Keen, Sophie Nélisse, Sky Yang, Percy Hynes White, Michelle Fairley, and Nick Frost. Production brings together genre-focused talent both in front of and behind the camera, with Hardy continuing his work in atmospheric horror and folklore-inspired storytelling.

Rather than relying on a single antagonist, Whistle centers its tension around inevitability and cause-and-effect, using the cursed object as the catalyst for its narrative.
