FAIRY TAIL: DUNGEONS officially expands its magical mayhem to Nintendo Switch today, bringing its deckbuilding roguelike adventure to a new platform alongside a major content update. Developed by ginolabo and published by Kodansha Game Creators’ Lab, the update also launches today on PC via Steam as a free download for existing players.

To mark the occasion, the game is currently discounted across both platforms. Nintendo Switch players can grab it at 20% off, while Steam users can enjoy a steep 40% discount, available through Tuesday, January 20 (PST).

This first major update significantly broadens the game’s scope, adding fan-favorite characters Gajeel, Juvia, Mirajane, Laxus, and Gildarts to the playable roster. Players can also dive into expanded build possibilities with more than 170 new cards and over 100 new skills, dramatically increasing the variety of viable strategies. New difficulty settings for both Labyrinth and Grand Clash modes offer tougher challenges, while Casual Mode provides a more story-focused experience.

Set in an original storyline separate from the manga and anime, FAIRY TAIL: DUNGEONS centers on a mysterious dungeon that suddenly appears beneath the Fairy Tail guildhall, stripping entrants of their powers. After a narrow escape, players embark on a dangerous underground rescue mission to save the imprisoned friends of Labi, the guild’s cat-like companion.

Each dungeon run emphasizes careful planning and adaptability, as players unleash powerful magic, collect hidden tomes, and upgrade their team for future expeditions. Expedition Records further flesh out character backstories, and sharp-eyed fans may even spot guest appearances from Haru Glory of Rave Master fame.

According to developer ginolabo, the goal has always been to evolve the game alongside its community, with this update delivering new characters, deeper systems, and more demanding challenges for veteran players.
FAIRY TAIL: DUNGEONS is available now on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam for $13.99, with language support for English, Japanese, French, Korean, Thai, and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
