Hotta Studio is opening the gates to Hethereau once again. NTE, the upcoming supernatural urban open-world RPG, has announced a new round of playable content with its ‘Co-Ex Test’, and player registration is now live on PC and PlayStation 5.
Set in the sprawling city of Hethereau, NTE blends modern urban life with surreal, unpredictable Anomalies, creating a world where danger, mystery, and everyday city routines collide. The upcoming test introduces a substantial batch of new systems, activities, and multiplayer content designed to deepen the experience.

What’s New in the Co-Ex Test
- Two Large-Scale Anomaly Dungeons
Players can dive into two brand-new multiplayer dungeons: The Bank and The Hospital. These large-scale Anomaly zones are built around cooperative gameplay, requiring teamwork to navigate their environments and survive powerful encounters. - Prison Gameplay System
Breaking the law now comes with real consequences. The new prison mechanic places players into a full in-game day behind bars, complete with solitary confinement, outdoor time, and even the opportunity to plan an escape. It’s a unique system that adds risk, strategy, and narrative weight to player choices. - Expanded Urban Activities
Life in Hethereau is getting busier. Players can now spend time fishing, taking taxi rides, racing, playing Mahjong, or even working at coffee shops. Each activity offers its own rewards while further grounding the game’s supernatural elements in a living, breathing city. - New Character Outfits
A new lineup of urban outfits is arriving for both the protagonist and main characters. Designed with a minimalist approach, these looks focus on sleek, practical fashion without flowing cloth or exaggerated accessories, giving characters a modern aesthetic that fits Hethereau’s atmosphere.

A City Built for Stories
Powered by Unreal Engine 5, NTE delivers a vast, seamless open world where humans coexist with supernatural forces. Players control a cast of vibrant characters, each with distinct abilities and personalities, as they investigate Anomalies through episodic, comedy-drama-driven storylines.

Beyond the main narrative, NTE offers an expanding list of side activities, including collecting, modding, and racing sports cars, purchasing and designing stylish city homes, and even running businesses. Whether you’re chasing the story or simply living city life, Hethereau is designed to feel immersive and endlessly engaging.

NTE is currently in development for PC, console, and mobile.
