Start sketching out your perfect fantasy realm—RAEV: Kingdom on the Distant Shores is making its grand debut at Gamescom 2025, and you’ll finally be able to try your hand at ruling a kingdom full of adorable, fox-like citizens known as Raevins. From August 20th–24th, attendees can swing by the Ravine Games booth (Hall 10-1, Booth B060) to play the game’s first public demo.

Developed by Ravine Games and published by V Publishing, RAEV is a sweeping city-building sim with a Ghibli-esque charm and an emphasis on strategic decision-making. Set across a sprawling continent made up of diverse biomes, the game gives you full creative control over your kingdom’s design—from tiny villages to massive cityscapes. And if you want to take a more hands-on approach, you can lead your citizens in real-time combat to defend your borders.

At its core, RAEV is about choices: how you balance diplomacy, trade, combat, and city planning will shape your Raevins’ destiny. With 60+ building types, 20+ unit types, and a no-grid placement system, you’re free to build the kind of fantasy world you’ve only dreamed of.

    Key Features:

    • Sculpt Your Empire: Build villages and cities anywhere across your kingdom with total freedom—no grids or restrictions.

    • Shape Their Stories: Every Raevin has their own personality and purpose, from resource gathering to leading expeditions.

    • Strategic Depth: Balance trade, diplomacy, and military defense to ensure your kingdom thrives across generations.

    • Real-Time Combat: Defend your realm in real-time battles that test your tactical instincts.

    • Creative Control: From lush gardens to sprawling castles, build the world you want to rule.

Whether you’re into relaxed city building or deeper strategy, RAEV blends creativity, charm, and challenge into one delightful package. The full game is set to launch in 2026, but if you’re heading to Gamescom, don’t miss your chance to try it early.
