Prepare to relive the glory (and grit) of English football from the ’80s and ’90s—NUTMEG! is coming to PC in 2026 with a nostalgic, card-powered twist on the beautiful game.
Developed by Sumo Sheffield and backed by Secret Mode, NUTMEG! is a love letter to the glory days of English league football—moustaches, muddy pitches, and all. This isn’t your typical management sim. You’ll take control of a Division Four side and try to lead them to the top, managing your club over two full decades of English football history.
The twist? Every match is a fast-paced card battler, where tactics are executed through training-earned cards. Whether you’re crafting counter-attacks, disrupting enemy formations, or slipping in a cheeky late winner, the deck you build defines how your squad plays on the pitch.
Key Features:
-
Deck-Building Meets Football: Train players and combine cards to create powerful tactical plays, then unleash them during crucial match moments.
-
Rise Through the Divisions: Start in Division Four and fight your way up the football pyramid over 20 seasons.
-
Manage It All: Set training schedules, make transfers, handle ticket pricing, merchandise, and backroom staff while dealing with the press.
-
Matchday Card Battles: Influence the flow of each match with well-timed cards—block attacks, regain possession, and swing momentum your way.
-
Earn Packs, Build Tactics: Complete challenges, refine strategies, and collect card packs to enhance your deck and dominate the competition.
-
Historic Vibes: From terrace chants to throwback kits, NUTMEG! fully immerses you in the era of mullets, muddy boots, and pre-Premier League passion.
-
Choose Your Path: Will you stay loyal to one club, or become a journeyman manager hopping from team to team in search of glory?
Born out of a prototype at the Sumo Digital Academy, NUTMEG! has now entered full production and looks set to deliver a truly unique spin on football management with a retro flair and plenty of charm.
NUTMEG! kicks off on PC in 2026. Wishlist it now on Steam, and prepare to rewrite football history—one card at a time.
