Austrian indie studio Nestwork Games has announced its debut title Crowded, a feathery twist on the city builder genre where players design and manage a treetop metropolis for a colony of hyper-intelligent crows. Currently in development for PC via Steam, the game promises strategy, charm, and plenty of bird-brained ingenuity.
In Crowded, you’ll guide your flock to build a self-sustaining society in the sky. That means scavenging bugs and resources, planting new trees to expand your territory, and engineering an intricate web of crow nests to house your growing community. The world is filled with both lush landscapes and lurking dangers, but clever design and smart planning will keep your feathered citizens happy, safe, and thriving. And yes—Nestwork cheekily reminds us—there’s no “i” in Murder.
The developers call their design philosophy “Featherpunk,” which leans into the anatomy and abilities of crows. Buildings are crafted with open space, allowing you to watch your little flock go about their daily lives—a concept inspired by the German word Wuselfaktor, describing the charm of bustling activity in simulation games.
