Dust off your BMX and ready your Turbo Glove™—Turbo Kid is finally bringing its bloody, pixelated mayhem to the Nintendo Switch on August 5, 2025.

Developed by Outerminds Inc. (Legend of the Brofist, Tuber Simulator, Pixelings), Turbo Kid is a post-apocalyptic Metroidvania soaked in retro 80s vibes, absurd weaponry, and over-the-top pixel gore. Originally launched on PC in April 2024 following a wildly successful Kickstarter campaign, this blood-soaked tribute to the 2015 cult sci-fi film is now riding onto consoles—starting with the Switch.

What Is Turbo Kid?

Set in a wasteland where water is scarce and BMX bikes are humanity’s last hope, Turbo Kid drops you into a mutant-infested world of side-scrolling carnage and over-the-top combat. As the titular Turbo Kid, you’ll explore a massive interconnected world, discover bizarre secrets, and leave a trail of limbs and circuitry in your wake—all to the pulse-pounding sounds of an original soundtrack by synthwave legends Le Matos.

Key Features:

  • Metroidvania on Two Wheels – Blaze your path across a sprawling map, unlocking new upgrades, weapons, and secrets with every insane ride.

  • BMX Combat – Call your bike anytime to crush enemies, perform sick tricks, or navigate tricky terrain. This isn’t a gimmick—it’s core to the chaos.

  • Weaponized Mayhem – Turbo Glove, machetes, sawblades, and more—there’s no shortage of ways to turn enemies into gory pixel confetti.

  • Narrative Flexibility – Pick your path. Help or hurt the bizarre characters you meet along the way. Want lore? Dive in. Hate exposition? Skip it. It’s up to you.

  • Speedrun-Ready – Fast, fluid gameplay with no unskippable cutscenes or filler. Whether you’re exploring every nook or gunning for a sub-hour run, the game adapts.

This is the retro-drenched action-adventure we should have grown up with—built from the ground up for fans of old-school gaming with modern polish and mobility.
