Gaddy Games’ peaceful planetary sim Plan B: Terraform is finally reaching full release. After a well-supported Early Access run packed with new features and gameplay refinements, version 1.0 officially launches on Steam August 29, 2025, just in time to cap off Steam’s Automation Fest.

If you haven’t tried it yet, Plan B: Terraform lets you do exactly what it says on the tin: turn a barren, lifeless world into a living, breathing ecosystem. It’s part supply chain sim, part climate science sandbox, and 100% chill.

    Terraforming at Scale

Unlike your usual factory builder or city sim, Plan B: Terraform plays out across an entire planet made up of over a million hexes. Starting with basic resource extraction, you’ll eventually manage a vast logistical network of trucks, drones, trains, and container ships—all working together to grow settlements into cities that can support millions of inhabitants.

But infrastructure is only half the equation. You’ll also raise global temperatures using greenhouse gas generators, melt underground ice to form oceans, and slowly develop a balanced climate system that supports vegetation and animal life. And yes, it’s all grounded in real-world environmental modeling.

    What’s New in 1.0?

The 1.0 launch adds even more tools for shaping your planetary utopia:

    • Creative Mode: Total control over terrain, temperature, and population to freely build your dream planet

    • Dynamic Wildlife: As you restore ecosystems, creatures like deer, bears, and eagles return to the land

    • Flight View: Take to the skies and admire your terraformed world from a brand-new perspective

    • New Music Tracks: A fresh soundscape to complement the meditative gameplay

These come on top of previous updates that added container ships, overhauled objectives, improved UI/UX, terrain refinements, and essential building tools like multi-selection and undo.

    Key Features Recap:

    • Planetary-Scale Terraforming: Simulate climate shifts, rainfall, rivers, forests, and more in real time

    • Deep Automation: Manage full-scale production chains using multiple transport methods

    • City Building on a Global Stage: Develop settlements into megacities with tight logistic planning

    • Science Meets Serenity: A relaxing, educational sandbox grounded in realistic environmental principles

    • Massive, Dynamic World: Explore and shape an entire procedurally generated planet

Whether you’re into automation, urban design, or climate science, Plan B: Terraform delivers a uniquely peaceful twist on large-scale worldbuilding.

The full game launches August 29 on Steam, with a free demo currently available as part of Steam Automation Fest. Add it to your wishlist and join the Gaddy Games community on Discord to stay in the loop.
