My Friendly Neighborhood Scares Up Survival Horror with a Smile

Puppet Panic Hits Consoles!

Just in time for the two-year anniversary of its Steam debut, My Friendly Neighborhood has officially brought its puppet-fueled chaos to consoles—and yes, it’s as bizarre (and brilliant) as ever.

From the minds of developer duo John and Evan Szymanski and the folks at indie horror powerhouse DreadXP, this cult-favorite survival horror comedy is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and through Xbox Game Pass (including Windows Store). That means it’s never been easier to dive into one of the strangest—and most charming—entries in the modern horror scene.

Smile for the Camera… or Else

In My Friendly Neighborhood, you play as Gordon, a humble handyman who’s just trying to do his job when things go… well, Muppet massacre. Sent to investigate a strange signal coming from a long-dead children’s TV studio, Gordon quickly realizes the puppets have come back to life—and they’re a little less Sesame Street and a little more Scream.

Armed with quirky, alphabet-themed weapons like the Rolodexer, players must navigate a surprisingly dark and intricate survival horror experience. It’s non-linear, puzzle-packed, and dripping with nostalgic weirdness. Imagine Resident Evil meets Banjo-Kazooie, but with more cardboard, crayons, and cursed mascots.
