Welcome to Orca Isle. Population: You… and a Whole Lotta Dead Mercs.
After making a loud, bloody splash at the MIX Indie Summer Showcase, Captain Wayne – Vacation Desperation is back in action with a brand-new playable demo on Steam—and trust us, this isn’t your average vertical slice. This one hits like a double-barreled gut punch wrapped in cartoon violence and soaked in Boom Brew.
The new demo drops you headfirst into two brutally fresh levels, complete with an overhauled tutorial and enough carnage to keep your trigger finger twitching. With remixed soundtracks, enhanced visual and sound effects, and a trash-talking Wayne who’s more mouthy than ever, this bite-sized beast is packing serious heat.
What’s New in the Demo?
-
2 gory new levels + an improved tutorial to get you locked and loaded
-
Remastered soundtracks that push the chaos meter into the red
-
All-new voicelines – Wayne’s still got jokes, and they’re just as deadly
-
Amped-up SFX and VFX – more blood, more boom, more everything
Whether you’re a FPS vet or a sucker for hand-drawn madness, this demo gives you a juicy taste of what’s to come in the full game—and it’s anything but subtle.
What the Hell is Captain Wayne?
Part old-school shooter, part unhinged Saturday morning cartoon, Captain Wayne – Vacation Desperation is a first-person shooter fever dream with attitude to spare. You play as Wayne: cigar-chomping, fish-eating, and rocking a shotgun where his arm used to be. After getting ambushed by Killer Whale mercs and stranded on the hellhole known as Orca Isle, Wayne’s out for vengeance… and a way off the island.
Expect fast, no-holds-barred FPS action across 8 massive, enemy-infested zones, fully-voiced animated cutscenes, and an arsenal that includes finger-mounted chain guns and explosive liquor grenades (aka the legendary Boom Brew).
This is the kind of game where subtlety goes to die—and the soundtrack will make sure your eardrums don’t walk away unscathed either.
