Refugium Games is bringing high school drama, pop-punk attitude, and open-world mischief to life with their latest project, Agefield High: Rock the School. Set to launch on PC (with consoles to follow), this single-player coming-of-age adventure throws players into a fully simulated school system wrapped in early 2000s nostalgia.
You’ll step into the Vans-wearing shoes of Sam Tatum, an 18-year-old senior whose life gets turned upside down when their parents move them to the quiet town of Agefield. With just a few months left until graduation, you’re dropped into a new school and expected to play by the rules… or not. From skipping class and pranking teachers to mowing lawns for beer money and racing through the suburbs on your bike, Rock the School channels the chaotic energy of teen movies and the angsty pop-punk soundtracks that defined an era.
The game is all about choices. You can be the rebel, the legend, the outcast — or some mix of all three. Sit through Geography or sneak off to the arcade. Start a prank war or fall in with a garage band. Every decision you make shapes your reputation and how your story is remembered when the final yearbook closes.
So what can you actually do in Agefield High: Rock the School?
Here’s a taste of the game’s feature set:
-
Branching Storyline: A cinematic, choice-driven narrative with multiple endings depending on how you play.
-
Fully Simulated High School: Attend — or skip — classes like Music, Math, and German in a living school system.
-
Open-World Exploration: Discover a nostalgic small-town sandbox packed with tattoo parlors, bike shops, corner stores, and hidden hangouts.
-
Mini-Games & Side Hustles: From prank calls to lawn mowing, take on side gigs to earn cash and unlock gear.
-
Customize Your Look: Deck yourself out with new outfits, hairstyles, bikes, and accessories to cement your legend status.
-
Total Early 2000s Vibe: Think bold colors, spring sunshine, and a soundtrack straight off a burnt CD from 2003.
Whether you’re chasing high school fame, stirring up chaos, or just trying to find your place in a new town, Rock the School aims to tap into that rebellious nostalgia we all know too well — and put it in your hands.
Agefield High: Rock the School is currently in development and coming soon to PC via Steam, with console versions on the way. Keep an eye on this one — especially if your idea of growing up included skipping class and soundtracking life with Sum 41.
