ILL Revealed: Mundfish Powerhouse & Team Clout Debut Brutal Survival Horror

Things got bloody fast at Summer Game Fest 2025, as Team Clout and Mundfish Powerhouse unleashed a grisly new trailer for ILL, a first-person survival horror title that looks ready to burrow straight under your skin—literally.

The trailer, packed with grotesque visuals, dismembered monsters, and eerie atmosphere, marks the first major showcase of ILL, Team Clout’s debut title—and the first game published under Mundfish Powerhouse, a newly formed creative label from the studio behind Atomic Heart. Designed to support rising indie devs, Powerhouse aims to give bold creators the backing they need to bring their vision to life.

Set in an isolated research fort, ILL drops players into a relentless world of body horror, mystery, and psychological dread. Drawing on experience from the world of horror cinema—including work on V/H/S/Beyond, Longlegs, IT: Welcome to Derry, and more—the developers are infusing every frame of the game with cinematic tension and grotesque detail. The result? A survival horror experience that’s not just terrifying—it’s tactile.

    Enter the Fleshstorm

ILL promises to push the genre further with features like a dynamic dismemberment system, lifelike physics, and binaural audio that’ll have you checking over your shoulder with every step. Enemies behave in disturbingly human ways, reacting to your actions and environment, while the game’s physics-driven world turns every object into a potential tool—or threat.

Players will also face tough decisions about what to carry, craft, or toss in the heat of the moment. With weapon maintenance, modding, and resource management playing key roles, every encounter is a test of both skill and survival instincts.

Backed by Powerhouse, Built on Passion

The formation of Mundfish Powerhouse signals a major step forward for Mundfish as more than a developer—they’re positioning themselves as champions of the next wave of daring, boundary-pushing indie games.

“Powerhouse was created to empower daring, visionary developers by providing meaningful support where it matters most,” said Mundfish CEO Robert Bagratuni. “We’re committed to backing artists with bold, transgressive, and uncompromising creative visions — and we believe ILL is a striking example of that spirit.”

Team Clout’s Max Verehin, who’s leading development on ILL, also expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity:

“Every independent developer knows how challenging it is to bring a vision to life. Powerhouse’s support helped shape a sustainable path forward for ILL, and we’re thrilled to finally start sharing more with the community.”

    Key Features of  ILL:

    • Hyper-Realistic Horror

Immerse yourself in a living nightmare, powered by atmospheric storytelling, grotesque enemy design, and disturbingly realistic visuals.

    • Advanced Physics & Dismemberment

Enemies can be shredded apart with brutal precision, while the physics engine allows the environment to react organically to your actions.

    • Unpredictable Enemy AI

Monsters behave in deeply unsettling ways, responding dynamically to your movements and decisions.

    • Tactical Combat & Inventory Strategy

Manage weapons with weighty realism, upgrade gear, and craft on the fly—or die trying.

    • Hollywood-Caliber Terror

Developed by a team with deep roots in horror cinema, ILL blends gaming with a cinematic sense of dread and drama.

ILL doesn’t have a release date just yet, but horror fans can wishlist the game now on Steam.
