Can you survive, repair, and outwit time itself?

Get ready to lose track of time—literally. Forgotten 23, a haunting new sci-fi survival puzzler from solo dev KovalGames and indie.io, is set to launch on Steam July 18, 2025. The game throws players into a tense, atmospheric time loop aboard a doomed space station circling Proxima Centauri b, blending survival mechanics, puzzle-solving, and psychological mystery.

You play as Max Novak, an engineer sent to investigate a distress signal from The Forgotten, a derelict station moments from atmospheric collapse. But there’s a catch: you’ve only got 23 minutes before the whole thing crashes. And once it does? Time resets, and it all begins again.

As Max, you’ll need to make the most of each reset—repairing vital systems, crafting tools from scraps, solving shifting environmental puzzles, and uncovering the eerie fate of the vanished crew. The deeper you dig, the stranger things get. Rooms don’t stay the same. Clues seem to rewrite themselves. And the station’s AI, Luna, is calm, helpful… and maybe hiding something.

Forget combat—Forgotten 23 builds its tension through atmosphere, mystery, and mounting existential dread. Think Outer Wilds meets SOMA by way of Stanislaw Lem. Each run reveals new layers of the story, delivered through corrupted logs, cryptic dialogue, and chilling environmental storytelling.

“I built this game from the ground up in my spare time,” says solo dev Lucas S. Kowal. “It was a passion project—late nights, long weekends, lots of coffee. It’s surreal and humbling to finally bring it to players.”

If you’re into sci-fi adventures with deep narrative twists and time-bending mechanics, this is one to keep on your radar. Forgotten 23 hits Steam on July 18—be sure to wishlist it now so you don’t miss the loop.
