If you’re into roguelike deckbuilders with a twist of unpredictability, Dice Legends should be on your radar. Indie developer Big Bite Games, in partnership with co-developer and publisher Ad Luna, just revealed a slick new animated trailer alongside a fresh Steam demo for the upcoming title.
The reveal highlights the game’s trio of fantasy heroes, brought to life with eye-catching animation, while the demo is now live as part of Steam’s Turn-Based Thursday Fest, running from June 2–9, 2025. The full game is aiming for a Q3 2025 release.
What Is Dice Legends?
Dice Legends blends roguelike mechanics, deckbuilding, and RPG-style progression into a high fantasy adventure driven by the luck (or chaos) of the dice. You’ll choose from one of three characters, each tied to a specific type of die — d6, d8, or d12 — and fight your way through a gauntlet of enemies while collecting cards and items to build out your strategy.
It’s all about embracing randomness, building synergies, and chasing those overpowered combos that carry you through to the final boss. Think Slay the Spire meets tabletop dice — with a tactical twist.
Demo Highlights:
-
Play through the first full chapter of the game
-
Test out Lion Paladin ARIE, who uses d6 dice for damage or defense
-
No restrictions — explore the dungeon and game mechanics at your own pace
What to Expect in the Full Release:
-
160 hand-drawn cards with countless synergy opportunities
-
50+ enemies, each with their own mechanics and challenges
-
4 distinct worlds, each with unique aesthetics and enemy types
-
3 heroes, each tied to a different dice class and deck-building style
-
75+ items to equip and use in combat
