If you’ve been craving psychological horror that gets under your skin and stays there, Dark Atlas: Infernum might be your next descent into darkness. Revealed during the Horror Game Awards Summer Showcase, publisher SelectaPlay and developer Dark Council Studio dropped a brand-new gameplay trailer—and it’s pure nightmare fuel.
Twisting corridors, collapsing rooms, and creatures you never quite see (but always feel) make up the world of Infernum, a first-person horror experience where reality is melting away and death is just the beginning.
A World on the Brink
Coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in late 2025, Dark Atlas: Infernum takes place in a crumbling version of Earth where electrical storms leave behind “Imprints” — ghostlike shells of the dead, staring into nothing. Humanity is collapsing, and something much worse is stepping into the void.
You play as a lone survivor, trapped in a surreal purgatory haunted by guilt, memory, and something known only as the Word. As your past begins to unravel, so too does reality itself—and every door you open draws you closer to what’s been buried deep inside.
The PC demo is now live on Steam, offering a chilling first taste of what’s to come.
Horror with Depth
Dark Atlas: Infernum blends stealth, survival horror, and narrative-driven exploration into a deeply atmospheric journey. This isn’t about jump scares. It’s about dread—the kind that lingers long after you’ve turned the game off.
The game is set in Álvaro Aparicio’s Saga Radiata universe, tying into the broader Dark Atlas meta-anthology. From the decaying ruins to the unnerving whispers in your ears, the entire world feels alive, cursed, and waiting for your mind to crack.
