Claustrophobic horror, cultural mythology, and sheer psychological dread converge in BrokenLore: DON’T WATCH, the latest entry in the unsettling BrokenLore series from Serafini Productions and Shochiku. This isn’t your typical scream-fest—this is horror that stares back at you.

Set in a suffocating six-square-meter Tokyo apartment, DON’T WATCH traps players in the mind and home of Shinji, a young hikikomori who’s cut himself off from society. But when the shadows of his mind take form, reality begins to rot—ushering in Hyakume, a terrifying being from Japanese folklore whose hundred eyes see everything.

Don’t Look. Don’t Blink. Just Survive.

The core mechanic in DON’T WATCH is as simple as it is horrifying: look at Hyakume, and you’re dead. But it’s not just about avoiding the monster. It’s about surviving in a world where even making eye contact becomes a life-or-death gamble.

Developed alongside a clinical psychologist, the game dives deep into themes of isolation, anxiety, and societal pressure. It’s a raw and reflective experience, using horror not just to scare, but to say something.

And while the scares are intimate—your entire world reduced to a cramped apartment—the narrative unfolds with cinematic dread, punctuated by a haunting blend of hyper-realistic visuals and eerie retro VHS segments that feel like you’re spiraling between nightmares and broken memories.
