Sandbox Interactive has officially announced that the next major update for Albion Online—titled Abyssal Depths—is set to launch on June 30, 2025. This content-packed update brings big changes to the early game and introduces a brand-new PvP dungeon that’s all about high stakes and fast decisions.
The centerpiece of the update is a new type of PvP dungeon, designed for small groups of two to three players. These chaotic battlegrounds mix PvE and PvP action, with collapsing environments, tactical objectives, and the constant threat of other players looking to claim the loot for themselves. Whether you’re fighting monsters or ambushing another team, success means earning exclusive new rewards—and surviving the mayhem.
Also included in Abyssal Depths is a major overhaul of the early-game experience. Sandbox Interactive is aiming to make Albion Online more accessible to newcomers while better reflecting the depth and complexity of the game’s core systems. The tutorial and post-tutorial flow have been reworked and integrated more closely into the Albion Journal, which now offers a more structured guide for new players as they explore the world and learn the ropes.
