Jester: A Foolish Ritual is the newly revealed co-op survival horror experience from Belgian indie devs Fire Foot Studios, and it’s shaping up to be no laughing matter. Announced with a sinister twist of the crank, this eerie jack-in-the-box of a game is headed to Steam, with a release date still under wraps.

In Jester: A Foolish Ritual, you play as one of four undead knights who’ve been dragged back to life for one grim purpose: stop the cursed jester that haunts the dungeon halls of a decaying medieval castle. Sounds like a good time, right? Well, not exactly—unless you’re into creeping terror, panic-fueled teamwork, and proximity chat that might just get you all killed.

Survive the Ritual. Break the Curse.
Waking up dead might be a bad day for most, but it’s just the beginning of your nightmare. To escape the castle, you’ll need to hunt down hidden runes and complete a sacred ritual. Sounds simple enough—until the Jester shows up. He’s fast, unpredictable, and has a nasty habit of popping out of his jack-in-the-box traps when you least expect it. Trigger one, and you’ll wish you hadn’t.

Each run offers randomized layouts and dangers, forcing players to adapt and communicate if they want to survive. That means using proximity voice chat wisely: whisper to teammates nearby, or risk shouting something the Jester will hear.

    Fear is Better with Friends
Whether you go solo or squad up with three other brave souls, Jester brings the terror straight to your headset. The Jester becomes more aggressive as you collect key ritual items, and his AI adapts to your progress, keeping tension high and safety a distant memory.

    Key Features:

    • 4-Player Online Co-op – Survive together or scream alone. Your choice.

    • Proximity Voice Chat – Say the wrong thing at the wrong time and the Jester might hear it too.

    • Randomized Runs – No two playthroughs are the same. Stay sharp.

    • Multiple Difficulties – Whether you want a mild spook or a full-on panic attack.

    • Immersive Audio – Hear your heartbeat pound as the Jester closes in.

    • Evolving Enemy AI – The more progress you make, the deadlier he becomes.
