Villain Games HQ has officially unveiled Hero’s Hand, a genre-bending roguelike RPG that fuses poker-inspired puzzle combat with dungeon-crawling adventure. Coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in 2026, this unique deck-building RPG challenges players to collect powerful hands, battle D&D-inspired enemies, and level up with each run.

“When we first scribbled ‘poker-based RPG’ on a whiteboard back in 2019, we never expected it to spark such hilarious chaos,” said Randy Greenback, Creative Director at Villain Games. “But once our prototype had the team howling over insane card combos, we knew Hero’s Hand had to become a reality.”
In the world of Cardunia, darkness has taken hold, and only by mastering the art of poker combat can you defeat the looming evil. Explore diverse hand-drawn landscapes, meet eccentric allies, and collect weapons, spells, and potions—all while dying (a lot) in true roguelike fashion. But with every defeat comes growth, allowing you to refine your strategy and unleash devastating combos against the monstrous forces of the Dark Wizard.
