Horror fans, get ready—Kryva Hora is set to deliver an intense found-footage survival horror experience when it launches on Steam in 2025. Featuring microphone-supported gameplay, procedural scares, and a chilling Soviet-era mystery, this game is shaping up to be an immersive nightmare like no other. The first playable demo will drop during Steam Next Fest on February 25, giving players a terrifying first taste of what’s to come.

    What is Kryva Hora?
You’ve discovered a lost videotape from 1987, filmed after the tragic Chornobyl disaster. The footage reveals a horrifying truth—mutants are lurking in the exclusion zone, and a mysterious portal to an alien world threatens to unleash an even greater catastrophe. Your mission? Survive the radiation, evade the creatures hunting you, and close the portal before it’s too late.

But be careful—sound is everything. Your microphone directly affects the world, meaning every whisper, breath, or scream could attract deadly threats. Will you risk silence to stay hidden, or use noise to manipulate the horrors around you?

    Key Features

    • Authentic Found-Footage Experience – Immerse yourself in a grainy, 4:3 aspect ratio horror adventure that feels like watching a lost VHS tape from the past.
    • Adaptive AI and Procedural Spawns – Enemy locations, loot, and points of interest change every run, ensuring unpredictable scares and high replayability.
    • Microphone-Based Gameplay (Optional) – Your voice can be your greatest weapon—or your biggest liability. Stay completely silent to hide from enemies, or scream to send them running (if they don’t get to you first).
    • Play as the Monster – Switch perspectives and become a blind creature, using sound and movement to hunt down your prey. Terrify your friends in multiplayer with proximity voice chat.
    • Twitch Integration – Viewers can control your fate! Live audiences can vote on terrifying in-game events, from fake jump scares to real monster spawns, keeping streamers on edge.
    • Endless Replayability – With procedurally generated elements and tens of hours of random gameplay, no two playthroughs will ever be the same.

    A Dark Mystery Unfolds…
The horror of Chornobyl didn’t end with the explosion. The Soviet government covered up the true extent of the disaster, sealing the area under military control. But what did they leave behind? What horrors still roam the wasteland?

Years later, a mysterious man known as Jens dies in Amsterdam—his cause of death? Extreme radiation exposure. With no known family or history, authorities search his apartment and uncover a Soviet passport, a storage locker… and a camcorder containing a disturbing recording.

Now, it’s time for you to watch the tape and uncover the truth—if you dare.
